General FAQs

Assignments come in many forms. Students should check with their instructor to be clear on assignment submission instructions. Generally though, instructors use Sakai (LMS) for Assignment submission. Assignments in Sakai are assigned open, close and accept until dates. Students navigate to the course, select the Assignments tab, locate the assignment entry, and then follow the directions to submit an assignment – often a paper, file or other typed up text.

Classes may also have students take quizzes, exams or participate in discussions online, which can be understood as “assignments”, but use different tools in the LMS for completion.
