Are there emergency text services (for campus emergencies)?

Yes. Students, faculty and staff can sign up for NIXLE emergency communications.

  • Tennessee residents or staff can register by texting JUTN to 888777

In either location users will receive a text asking them to text YES to 888777. Doing so will activate the account on their  phone.

How do I access the wifi on campus?
Campus Wifi is accessible from most institutional buildings, computer labs, dormitories, classrooms, lobbies, faculty and staff offices, athletic areas (indoors) and dining areas. Users can connect to either one of the following wifi networks on either campus:

JohnsonUniversity: AEJohnson@1893
JohnsonGuest: Guest@JU (for campus guests)
