Yes all on campus courses, including independent study, audit, self-directed and dual enrollment courses have a course shell. A course taught on campus doses not need to request a shell. Shells are made available about 8-12 weeks ahead of the next term (minimum).
Course material for online courses is placed in to courses 5-10 weeks ahead of the next term. Face to face courses must find/source material from prior course offerings or other course sites from the past. Brand new face to face courses generally have content created by the instructor of record.
