How is course availability controlled? By the instructor or a term start and end date?

Course availability is controlled through the integration of two pieces:

  1. Roster from ERP/SIS containing official enrollments sync up with the LMS 3 times a day
  2. Course sites are published manually by the instructor of record on or by the first official day of the class
  • If the student did not register for the course, they will not see the course in the LMS.
  • If the student registered for the course less than 24 hours ago, the roster sync process may not have added them to Sakai yet.
  • If the student registered for the course and the instructor has not published the course site (yet), the course site may not appear in the LMS (yet).
